PACHAKUNA: GUARDIANES DE LOS ANDES
La Patogallina, one of the most important street theater companies in the country, prepares this parade with sculptures of three Andean animals that call to reconnect with nature and history.
A huge silver sculpture appears in the city. A condor, a puma and a snake make up the imposing image. This dreamlike representation installs the power and magic of Andean culture in the middle of the city.
Culture for which this trilogy is a fundamental icon. The three sacred animals have emerged from the mineral heart of the Andes and the confines of time, crossing centuries of history to present themselves before the eyes of the inhabitants of our cities.
These silver spirits come with a very clear message: we must reconnect with the laws of nature, with history, with the cycle of water and the pulse of the winds.
They have come out of their eternal rest to bring this message to our cities, and they will only be able to return to the “Apus” if citizens listen to their message, and are capable of articulating collective actions, where dance and music are protagonists.

La Patogallina
Theater company born in 1996, founded by artists from various disciplines who mix to give life to their first experimental and street work called A Sangre e Pato. As a result of this first production, they are invited to a series of international festivals, which begins the group's professional work. The year 1999 brought the establishment of their theatrical proposal, giving shape to El Húsar de la Muerte, under the artistic direction of Martin Erazo, a work with which they toured much of America and Europe. This work becomes the starting point of the formal organization of La Patogallina. From now on the company stands out for its own mix; elements of cinematographic narrative, live music, tragicomedy, political theater, the construction of poetic images, the manipulation of objects and dolls, and a marked line of physical theater in the performance.
