Free version of The Seagull, by Anton Chekhov | Playwriting by Juan Ignacio Fernández | Directed Guillermo Cacace
The acclaimed Argentine director Guillermo Cacace returns with his most recent production: a tale of misunderstandings interpreted by a female cast that shares the same table with the audience.
In La Gaviota, life resembles the abandoned and decayed stage of a theater play by the side of a lake, with the wind shaking the curtain in the open that sounds like the cry of the defeated. Masha tries to piece together this story of loves that do not correspond, of dreams that break when they are fulfilled, and of the pain that accumulates over the years.
In this free version of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull, directed by Guillermo Cacace (Mi hijo sólo camina un poco más lento, El mar de noche, La enamorada), the tension between what we desire and what we can finally achieve is developed. In it, five characters, in crossed relationships, confront each other, marked by misunderstandings.
