This is the story of a promise that could not be fulfilled, the one made by a teacher to his students. The teacher was Antoni Benaiges. The students were the boys and girls of the rural school of Bañuelos de Bureba, a village in the province of Burgos. The promise that they would know the sea was made one winter day in 1936. He was never able to keep it.
The piece, inspired by the students' dreams, emotions, and thoughts written in a booklet of their own making, proposes a device in which the objects, the poem, and the documentary material coexist without hierarchies.
