La Invivible is a solo performance piece that, from a retro-futuristic imagination, sketches the portrait of a contemporary feminized body.
Under the pressure to multiply herself in order to meet every obligation and social mandate, the dynamic, interdisciplinary staging digs into the tensions between the human and the nonhuman; between the organic and the mechanical. It crosses the uncanny valley of virtual assistants and the technological imaginaries of fembots, all within an atmosphere of unsettling discomfort.
The piece unfolds through a physical and choreographic language that speaks to the domestic, the digital, and the absurd, building a gender critique that exposes the demand placed on feminized figures to sustain reproduction and hyper-production. Onstage, a woman-machine hybrid takes shape, through which filter in Robotina, The Bionic Woman, Ameca, and the voice of Sylvia Plath — whose reflections on domesticity and the everyday oppression of women in the 1950s still echo in this twenty-first-century Invivible.
