Tr-edition: Life Is but a Dream unfolds in a surreal world of street theater where reality unravels — human and fantastical characters dance, fight, and play in the open air.
This performance moves like the inexplicable dream of a creature. Gradually, the pulse and music evolve into a trance; the street transforms into a shared space, and strangers join the whirling rhythm. The creature dreams of the stress, fears, and desires of modern life — and sometimes, even of the city itself.
Blending the hypnotic cadence of Korean mask dance and shamanic ritual with the vibrant energy of K-pop, the piece creates a world where tradition and contemporary culture merge. Rather than following a single linear plot, it invites audiences on an immersive journey through scenes and encounters — each plunging into a dreamscape that is strange, colorful, and at times unsettling.
