Company

Company directed by Alejandro Moreno Jashés (National Performing Arts Award President of the Republic 2024), dedicated to creating projects that intersect performing arts, heritage, and new technologies.

Together with digital artist Pedro Roca, head of the Salón de Actos project, the company brings together more than 20 artists from diverse fields — performing arts, visual arts, and oral storytelling — in a practice that combines dramaturgy, performance, film, photogrammetry, and 3D modeling.

In 2023, the company premiered the work Rescate, the first heritage-recovery project dedicated to the Teatro Windsor in Chañaral, which incorporated the voice of theater director Andrés Pérez. The piece was presented as part of the 2023 Festival Internacional Teatro a Mil and in the exhibition Excavaciones de Alejandro Moreno at Centro Cultural La Moneda.

From the Atacama Region, El Ejército de la Realidad develops processes of research, community mediation, and transmedia creation aimed at rescuing and revaluing abandoned theaters, with the support of CRÁTER – Regional Center for Scenic and Technological Creation and Archive.

Work in progress: Acto II, Isla de la Muerte

Salón de Actos is a stage and transmedia project by the artistic collective El Ejército de la Realidad. It is composed of five acts, each one dedicated to a theater in a state of abandonment or collapse in the Atacama Region: Teatro Windsor and Teatro Barquitos in Chañaral, Teatro Andes in Potrerillos, Teatro Inca de Oro, and Teatro Ventana in Vallenar.

Acto II: Isla de la Muerte focuses on the Teatro Barquitos in Chañaral. Through hyper-realistic scale models, sound archives, photogrammetry, and 3D visualization, it reconstructs the material and immaterial memory of the space, presenting it as a living archive of northern Chile’s theatrical architecture.

This act is also an homage to the late Chilean playwright Javier Riveros and is narrated by the voices of Chilean actress Malú Gatica (1922–1997); director Andrés Pérez Araya (1951–2002); and playwright Severo Sarduy (1937–1993). It also features performances by Paola Lattus, Marcelo Alonso, Paulina Hunt, and Paula Bravo.
