Is democracy truly the best possible system? And what comes after it?
With a fragmented and interactive structure, Beyond Democracy immerses the audience in a space of confrontation and dialogue, inviting them to become active participants and blurring the boundaries between actor and spectator, between reality and fiction.
Developed during a residency at Kaserne Basel (Switzerland, 2023), this theatrical exploration offers a critical reflection on the fragility of democracy, civic participation, and political representation. More than a traditional play, it is conceived as a co-created experience with the audience — one that breaks conventional theatrical structures. Through a combination of performance, multimedia, and critical inquiry, the work challenges the limits of the system and poses essential questions.
