Through her first-person narrative, Conty exposes the sexual, gender-based, social, class, and legal violence that has affected this woman at different stages of her life.
A lesbian woman from a poor background, who loves plants and dreams of becoming a professional football goalkeeper, finds herself in prison for killing one of the men who had “correctively” raped her. Locked away and without an escape, the protagonist reveals the endless waiting brought on by the constant rotation of lawyers.
Love, transgression, and violence intertwine in the life of this young woman, who longs to be free to pursue her dreams.
