Existen muchas formas de llegar a la costa reflects on the effects of mass tourism on the transformation of landscapes, ecosystems, and local communities.
What drives us to leave our homes in search of distant places? What do we hope to find during those periods of time we call “vacations”? And what do we leave behind in the places we visit?
Drawing on the example of a former community-based tourism project, the play weaves together memory, archives, documentary material, and fiction to create a scenic cartography of a contested territory — one located in Mexico, yet recognizable in many parts of the world.
Following its Work in Progress showing in 2025 as part of the festival, the play will premiere at the 33rd Teatro a Mil International Festival.
