The play is a biting comedy that explores the subtle and invisible power wielded by women of Chile’s upper class.
Presented as an exclusive coaching-style seminar, four elite women invite the audience to learn “how to make a difference” by adopting refined habits of distinction and authority. Through conversations, performance, and physical exercises, the play examines how class is reproduced not only economically, but through gestures, posture, and the codes engraved in the body.
Created from research on Chilean high society and inspired by María Rosaria Stabili’s book El Sentimiento Aristocrático, the production challenges the naturalization of classism and its close ties to gender. With sharp humor, it invites reflection on how privilege is learned, rehearsed, and socially performed—revealing that those who wield power depend precisely on those they seek to exclude.
