Far from being a literal adaptation of Poema de Chile, Gabriela Mistral’s posthumous and unfinished book, the verse that titles this project serves as a poetic guide to shape the work’s bodily, visual, sound, and narrative imaginary, inviting us to conceive of Chile as a living, symbiotic entity.
Tú caminas sin parar y yo me pierdo cosas vivas intertwines theatre, dance, media arts, and sound design to embody landscapes, map bones, and explore the elusive nature of a body-like country. Throughout this journey, the space transforms to represent deserts, rushing rivers, mountain ranges, underground forests, and a dense fog that blurs the landscape. At the same time, each territory connects with the body itself: the skin, blood, spine, nerves, and breath.
