A woman is mourning the death of her son, who was killed inside a residence of the National Children's Service (Sename).

La vida que te di is based on the testimony of a mother whose son was murdered in a SENAME (Chilean National Children’s Service) residence in 2013. Additionally, the piece refers to an excerpt from the play of the same name written by dramaturge and Literature Nobel Prize winner, Luigi Pirandello.

On stage, actress Amparo Noguera brings Eliana Pérez's story back to life, amplifying her voice and embodying her pain, love and frustration about the negligence and mistreatment given to her son by the Chilean State. She also represents Pirandello's character: a mother who does not recognize the death of her son and decides to keep him alive, even though she is aware of the disappearance of his body. Both texts focus on maternal grief in the face of tragic loss. On stage, these topics cross reality and fiction to talk about the meaning of life and death.

"A sincere and current deep-rooted proposal, that is simple and dynamic in texts and bodies."
