After its successful debut season at the Chilean National Theater, this staging by Alfredo Castro of the homonymous novel by Alia Trabucco Zerán returns to the Teatro a Mil International Festival 2025, telling the story of a frustrated domestic worker who dedicates her days to taking care of the life of others.

This story has many beginnings, but only one thing is certain; the end. Estela, a peasant woman, from a Gesell chamber, special rooms where judicial hearings are held confidentially, tells us about her last seven years cleaning and raising children in the house of a bourgeois family in Santiago de Chile.

In this house every day is the same except for those that lead us to the outcome of this story, as powerful as it is inevitable. The girl under the nanny´s care dies. The woman in her delirious flight, suspected of the girl's death, at the end of this story, is involved in the social outbreak, a massive street demonstration that took place on October 18th, 2019, where millions of citizens protested against years of abuses against them, by the political and social system.
