By Sebastián Caro | Valparaíso Cooperative Theatrical Company
The Teatro a Mil International Festival 2025 presents a new renewed version of the classic Romeo and Juliet, in the purest style of rap and musical mixes. The work addresses mental health in young people, adult-centrism, family conflicts and neighborhood disputes.
In this story these questions are raised: who are the possible victims? Who are the young sacrificed people today? How aware are we of our past to build the future? These questions are reflected in a story that deconstructs the common and current model of frontal theater, allowing the audience to mix with what is happening on stage with the device that appears to be a centrifuge.
