The playwright Ivor Martinic joins the direction of Guillermo Cacace in the play “Sería una pena que se marchiten las plantas”. The duo brings to the Teatro a Mil International Festival 2025 a piece that invites us to talk about the breakup of a love relationship, while we reflect on the attempts we make to express ourselves verbally.

“Sería una pena que se marchiten las plantas speaks about the breakup of a love relationship. The crisis in the breakup is unleashed when one of the characters fails to remember the most important event in the relationship in the eyes of the other. Through memories the now-broken-up couple tries to share their common story. It is a work about attempts to express ourselves verbally and create a story that we can tell and that we can accept.

“A writer, an actor and an actress try to say something new about love in a proposal that punctures all certainties...”
