An Indian dance show directed by Mr M.N. Harikumar comes to the Teatro a Mil International Festival 2025. Harikumar, renowned poet, writer and academic who has contributed to increasing the visibility of Kathakali, a typical dance of the Kerala area, southern India.
In the work, the performers personify and narrate Hindu legends from the Ramayana through dance steps (nrta), hand gestures (mudras) and facial expressions (navarasya).
The proposed story is from the second part of the Ramayana (Utthara Ramayana). After the coronation, due to some accusations about Sita Devi's chastity, Sri Rama is forced to abandon Sita in the forest and she gives birth to twins Kusha and Lava. The mother and children lived in the Vatmiki Ashrama.
