Two women, who could very well be the same person, coexist as if they were versions of the same body: the one that was, the one that is, the one that will be. This is what the play starring Antonia Zegers and Patricia Rivadeneira, who return to the stage as part of the Teatro a Mil International Festival 2025, is about.
The piece is based on the feminist essay Teoría King Kong by Virginie Despentes, adapted to the stage by Manuela Oyarzún and directed by Alexandra Von Hummel.
The reflections, chronicles and stories contained in the book: the rape of which she was a victim at the age of 17, her experience as a prostitute years later and after directing porn films, are developed throughout the show using Despentes’ provocative and, at the same time, reflective language.
