Santiago a Mil jury meets to analyze the applications for the 2018 version of the festival

For 11 months, a group of seven professionals from the theater and other disciplines watched 94 productions by Chilean playwrights interested in appearing at the festival. This experience enabled them to find out more about the realities of local theater. Here, they share some of their thoughts about this process.
“For me, the most interesting thing about being a juror is the chance to have a wide vision of what is being done in theater in Santiago, because you get to watch street theater, young people, renowned actors, plays by different companies and university or independent theater at different kinds of venues”, explains Horacio Pérez Rodríguez, a theater artist and teacher and a graduate in Theater Acting from the Theater Department at the University of Chile.
